On August 6th, 2024, the server IP for the hit Squid Island Minecraft series had been leaked. Due to Jelly leaking the server name and provider in his livestream, A MC Server Scanner Discord Server, using Jelly's leak in his stream, searched nodecraft and found the IP for the squid island server, then it was discovered by some guys, likely friends, who spammed it on the Squid Island Reddit.
Any more information the mods have should be shared. After the IP leak hundreds of people started logging onto the server and raiding it, exploding all the structures and stealing items. Many people started raiding the reddit, saying very toxic, uncalled for things, that likely were just rage bait. Average redditors.
The server was closed by Slogo to record, then they announced the end of Squid Island.

Current information[]
- r/SquidIsland has been locking and possibly deleting all posts on the current situation.
- All pets and buildings have been confirmed deceased/damaged. “Defunct.”
- Many people salvaged most of the items and most stuff have been destroyed. People tried to adopt old pets but they all died. These include: Perry 2.0, and Polly 2.0

- Novaza and other mods are working on finding the person who did it. For now, DON'T point any fingers on anyone as we are getting new information by the minute.

- The leaker had allegedly accidentally leaked the IP, and the bot revealed the server was made on July 1st, 9 days before the new series was on YouTube.[1] The server also had 2 other people on the server to "help terraform".[2]
- the blob fish gamer has been confirmed to be the leaker of the server's IP.[3] Blob also confirmed that a person named Anthony helped him leak the IP.[4]
- Novaza's theory suggests that Blob and Anthony used either a doxxing method or a reverse DNS method.[5] His theory also suggests that since Blob accidentally leaked the IP, someone else found the IP address on August 6 and leaked it to the entire subreddit.[6]

Who Are They?
An image showing from "Documenter" who tried to investigate the server and takes this screenshot. But for now the "Black covered name" is the investigator/Documenter. That remains a mystery.
Aftermath[]

Following the August 6 Squid Island IP Leak, the hit Minecraft show Squid Island was soon cancelled as the IP address was leaked 2 days before. Although there was a 2-day waiting gap between when the trio known the server was griefed and when it was actually hacked, it still outcomed the same consequence; cancellation of the series.

On the day of the incident, people raided the subreddit saying bigoted slurs and insults, all in the meanwhile the mods were trying to fix the situation up.
At the same time, a mass-posting of fans insulting griefers for their alleged hypocrisy, mentioning "they should feel ashamed for destroying the series they love" (very generalised).
To the date of this revision, insults would rapidly continue as the news was spread out to YouTube (most youtube viewers didn't know about the incident until the videos were posted) in which the same generalised term would now spread like wildfire.
Timeline[]
- July 1, 2024: the IP of Squid Island is found in a MC Scanner Discord Server.
- August 2, 2024: Episode 182 (Squid Island) is streamed. The Server Provider and server name is leaked on the stream. There is misinformation going around that Jelly leaked the raw IP, which he did not.
- August 3, 2024: Episode 183 (Squid Island) Is posted.
- August 5, 2024: Multiple Redditors spam the squid island subreddit, discords, and comments, spamming the nodecraft server IP.
- August 6, 2024, 6:00 PM: The server is Griefed and raided, All the pets were slain and all buildings are destroyed.
- August 7, 2024: Server is Closed and Reopened. Reddit Bans hundreds. Rishy hints at there being a backup.
- August 8, 2024: In Response, Slogo and Crainer make a group video exploring the destroyed Squid Isles. Jelly makes a solo video exploring the destroyed Squid Isles. But unfortunately there was no backup. Culminating in the conclusion of the season or show.
